New Credit and Debit Cards

Credit Union of the Rockies is excited to kick off the new year with a new credit and debit card! Not only do they have a fresh look, but they bring a whole new level of benefits and rewards to our valued members. You talked and we listened!

If you currently hold a debit and/or credit card with CUR, we will be mailing you a new Visa debit and/or credit card to replace your current Mastercard(s) starting in February. More details will be sent to you about how to activate your new card, set your new PIN number and when your Mastercard will no longer be active.

What about your current ScoreCard Reward points? No worries! All of your existing points earned up to 12/31/2021 will transfer to your new Visa credit card and will be viewable on your March 2022 statement.

WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THE CREDIT UNION HAS THE CORRECT CONTACT INFORMATION ON FILE SO THAT WE CAN ENSURE YOUR NEW CARD IS BEING SENT TO THE CORRECT MAILING ADDRESS.

SOME QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE

Why am I receiving a Visa card instead of a Mastercard?

Credit Union of the Rockies listened to its membership and determined that Visa cards will offer more benefits and features in line with our mission.

When will I receive my replacement card?

Cards will be mailed beginning in February 2022. Most cards are received within 7-10 business days from the date of order.

What happens if I do not receive my new Visa card(s)?

If you do not receive your card by the week of February 14th, please contact Credit Union of the Rockies by phone at (303) 273-5200, toll free (800) 344-9385, or via email to cu-rockies@cu-rockies.org and we will check the status of your card.

What if I don't want my current Mastercard to be blocked?

Credit Union of the Rockies will require your current Mastercard(s) to be blocked due to our upcoming transition to Visa.

Will I receive a new PIN number?

When you call to activate your new Visa card(s), you will be asked to select your own PIN number.  You will not receive a PIN through the mail.

Will the new Visa card(s) have the same number as my old card?

No. Upon receiving your new card, you should contact any merchants where you have arranged pre-authorized payments. This process may be as simple as logging into the merchant's website and updating payment information, or you may need to contact them by phone.

What if I accidentally destroy my new Visa card?

Please contact Credit Union of the Rockies to order your new card by phone at (303) 273-5200, toll free (800) 344.9385, or via email to cu-rockies@cu-rockies.org. Replacement costs may apply.

When will my current Mastercard(s) stop working?

We are currently in the process of sending members their new cards. Please activate your new Visa card(s) once received and then destroy your old card immediately. We will announce when current Mastercards will no longer work once we know that all new cards have been received.

Why do I see more than one card in my online banking and mobile app?

You will see all cards until your Mastercard(s) is cancelled or automatically stops working. This date will be determined once we know all members have received their new cards.

When will my points transfer?

Your current ScoreCard Rewards points accumulated through 12/31/2021 will transfer to your new Rockies Rewards account automatically and will be viewable on your March 2022 statement.

How do I view my rewards?

Targeted for first quarter 2022, you can review your rewards through Online Banking or CUR Mobile Banking. Your points balance as of 12/31/2021 will transfer from your MasterCard to your new Visa automatically. Your Visa Rockies Rewards points will begin to accrue upon your first purchase with your new Visa credit card.
