When you are just starting out it can be difficult to begin building your credit. Credit Union of the Rockies understands that not everyone’s credit situation is the same, for this reason we offer a variety of options for those members who are just beginning to build their credit portfolio.

Secured VISA

A Secured VISA is a fantastic way to begin building your credit. A Secured VISA reports to your credit just like any other credit card. Simply use the money from your savings to secure the limit of your choice (minimum secured limit of $200.00).

Student VISA

If you are a full or part time student who is employed at least part time, consider our Student VISA, a program designed exclusively for students to help establish positive credit history. Our student VISA is tiered to lower your rate and increase your limit over time to reward you for making your payments on time and not going over your limit.

Auto Loans

We offer Auto Loans to our members with either little or no established credit history. You can either apply on your own if you are able to make a down payment, or apply with a qualified co-signer. Either way, we can find a program to fit your individual needs.

Student Loans

Credit Union of the Rockies offers student loans through Great Lakes Higher Education Guaranty Company. We offer Stafford, Plus and even Consolidation loans. You can pick up a promissory note at the credit union or complete your promissory note on your school’s website using our lender code, call us for details!
