At Credit Union of the Rockies, we believe serving the communities within our field of membership means more than solely providing products and services at our branch locations. Service means staying In Touch with the needs of our communities and making a pledge to better each community through education, volunteer support, community grants, and being a leader in environmentally friendly practices.
Community Payback programs for 2008:

Credit Union of the Rockies is on the lookout for deserving non-profits in the communities we serve to be given $1,000 for supporting community change. Four $1,000 grants will be awarded to deserving non-profit charity or community projects aimed at creating social or environmental change.
Submissions for review will be due September 24th. The credit union will be looking for:
• Projects that promote social change regarding personal finance
• Serving community members who are less privileged
• Building stronger communities around environmental change
• Supporting education of today’s youth

Financial Fitness Seminars-
This past spring, Credit Union of the Rockies hosted a series of FREE Financial Seminars in the communities we serve. These seminars were designed to educate our members about; Investing, Managing Debt and Understanding Credit.
With over 100 people educated this spring, we look forward to hosting even more events in Spring of “09”. Stay tuned for dates to come.
Education Scholarship
At Credit Union of the Rockies, we realize that a more fiscally sound life begins with a good education.

Each winner will be awarded $1200 towards their 2008-2009 semester tuition. There were many outstanding entries but it was a tuff decision for our application committee. Congratulations again to this year’s winners.
